What Is Zero-History?
Zero-history architecture means the AI platform stores absolutely no conversation data on its servers. All chat history exists exclusively in the user's browser using local storage. When the browser is closed or storage is cleared, the data is gone permanently.
Why It Matters
Traditional AI platforms store conversations on servers, creating: breach targets, subpoena exposure, compliance obligations, and insider threat vectors. Zero-history eliminates all four. There's no data to breach, subpoena, regulate, or steal.
Technical Implementation
Conversations are maintained in browser localStorage/IndexedDB. API calls stream responses directly to the client. Server-side processing handles only the current request — no session persistence, no conversation logs, no data at rest.
Compliance Benefits
Zero-history simplifies compliance with data minimization requirements (GDPR Article 5), the right to erasure (GDPR Article 17), HIPAA minimum necessary standard, and attorney-client privilege protection. Privacy is architectural, not procedural.
