This means registering agents in identity management systems, applying least-privilege access by default, requiring audit trails that capture agent decisions and not just outcomes, defining escalation triggers for when agents should pause and request human review, and running regular behavioral audits that check whether agents are operating within their intended scope. The governance bottleneck that stalls most agentic AI programs from pilot to production is bringing legal, risk, and compliance teams in too late.
