23. Final AI Customer Service Checklist

Before expanding AI customer service, run the checklist. Do you know which workflows are automated, assisted, reviewed, or human-only? Do you know which source articles the AI can use? Do customers have a clear path to a human? Are sensitive data classes detected? Are billing, legal, security, and high-value account workflows protected? Can support leaders see repeat contact and unresolved questions? Can legal or security review the evidence after a serious mistake?

The checklist should include workflow owner, allowed channels, user group, customer segment, data classes, source material, model route, escalation trigger, forbidden outputs, reviewer, budget owner, evidence source, quality metric, and exception path. If a workflow cannot fill those fields, it is not ready for broad automation.
